I made this sketch on a leisurely Saturday afternoon at the Art Faculty in August 2018. The Art Faculty is an enterprise by the Autism Resource Centre, providing opportunities to youth with autism and related challenges.

As a sociology student, I have always been very intrigued by inequality. This diptych was birthed out of that interest.

The idea for this came about when I stepped out of Bugis Plus one evening in 2017 to see a large rainbow. I was aware of the sparkling, glitzy mall behind me, MBS in the background, and the hawker centre in front of me where some elderly men were chatting over beer.

I couldn't help but wonder how each person saw the same rainbow.
